How to Configure Cloudoon Mail to Gmail

To configure Cloudoon mail to send from Gmail, follow the steps below.

  1. Login to Gmail and go to Settings>>Accounts and Import
  2. Under Send Mail as section, click Add another email address
  3. Use the following details

Name: Your name
Email: Your full email eg info@domain.com
SMTP Server: sm1.cloudoon.com
Username: Your full email eg info@domain.com
Password: Password of the email above
Port: 587
Select Secured connection using TLS (recommended)

A verification code will be sent to your email to complete verification. Please access the email and copy paste the code on the dialog box given.

To configure Cloudoon mail to receive mails from Gmail, use either of the following methods

Method 1 (Mail Forwarding)


With this method, your emails will be received on gmail faster. We thus recommend this method.

1. Log in to Cloudoon.
2.Click the Settings icon.
4.Click Account on your left side pane.
5.Scroll down until you see the Forwarding tab.
6.In the Forwarding Address field, type the Gmail address you want messages to forward to. If forwarding to multiple email addresses, separate address with a comma.
If you want the messages deleted from your Cloudoon account once they have been forwarded, select the Delete messages when forward checkbox.
7.Click Save.

Method 2 (POP3/IMAP fetching)


With this method, your emails may take time to be fetched by Gmail.

  1. Login to Gmail and go to Settings>>Accounts and Import
  2. Under Check email from other accounts as section, click Add an email account
  3. Add your email address
    Email address: Your email address eg info@domain.com
  4. Click Import emails from my other account (POP3) then Next
  5. Use the details below

Username: Your full email address eg info@domain.com
Password: Password for that email
POP Server: sm1.cloudoon.com
Port: 110
Check the box labelled Import emails from my other account (POP3)
